Although the available control methods may reduce the impact of the disease, it will not give long term achievement and sometimes are not feasible operationally. The rapid development in malaria vaccine inspires the use of vaccine (alone or in combination with other available control measures) to combat malaria in Indonesia. It is expected that it will reduce not only the prevalence but also its transmission to a certain limit allowed to maintain the existance of malaria in a certain community. Since malaria vaccines target different stages of malaria parasite according to the antigens from which they are formulated, therefore it is necessary to identify the appropriate vaccine needed for certain target groups.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">WC 680-950 Tropical and Parasitic Diseases</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">1997</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Penyakit Menular</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_1096"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_1096_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
