(Krokot Blanda) adalah salah satu jenis tanaman yang tumbuh di Indonesia dan mempunyai khasiat/kegunaan antara lain sebagai penyegar, tonikum pada keadaan kelelahan atau pengganti ginseng. Dugaan sementara tanaman ini mempunyai efek androgenik. Telah dilakukan penelitian efek androgenik infus akar Talinum racemosum Rohrb. Yang diperoleh dari daerah Bekasi pada anak ayam jantan DOC White Leghorn, menurut mertode Dorfman dengan dosis berbeda yaitu masing-masing 24 ; 72 dan 720 mg/ekor/hari. Pemberian bahan percobaan secara oral selama 10 hari berturut-turut, menggunakan standar Metiltestosteron 20 mg/ekor/hari. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa hanya dosis 720 mg/ekor/hari (setara dengan 10x Dosis manusia) mempunyai respon rata-rata terbaik (40,19 %), kurang lebih separuh dari respon Metiltestosteron (87,98 %).QV 701-835 Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics1995Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan FarmasiArticle
