Robek was selected as a study site for evaluation of malaria control program through community participation were applied as follows: case finding and malaria treatment, health education and vector control. This active community involvement could reduce the parasite rate of children ages 2-9 years old from 15.5% in 1984 to 3.8% in 1990. It has also improved the health status; anaemia decreases from 20.5% to 9.3% and undernutrition of children 2-9 years, decreased from 22.4% to 13.0% in 1985.
