Jumlah spesimen 566 pasang, umumnya 1 pasang (spesimen akut) yang diambil pada hari pertama masuk rawatan rumah sakit dan spesimen konfalesens (darah yang diambil setelah hari ke3 -- ke7 masuk perawatan). Pemeriksaan serologi dilakukan dengan cara Hemaglutinasi Inhibisi. Pemeriksaan hanya dilakukan terhadap antigen dengue type 2 (Den-2). Dari 566 spesimen ternyata hanya 55 yang positif reaksi primer dan 211 positif reaksi sekunder (positifitas serologi hanya 31,1%).
