Chloroquine treatment has produced resistant and serious side effect. Artemisinin known as one malaria drug that being used in case of chloroquin resistant. The aim of study is to find out the effect of vitamin E addition to artemisinin on parasitemia level of Swiss mice inoculated with Plasmodium berghei. Researh method: This study was an experimental designed. Sixty weaning mice, male, Swiss strain, 8 weeks of the age with about 30 gram body weight, divided into 5 groups. Four groups treated with difference dose of Vitamin E supplementation and one group as a control. At the 60 days of investigation all groups were inoculated intraperitonealy with Plasmodium berghei ANKA. Oral administrations of artemisinin were given at 70 and 71 days of investigation. The parasitemia level was measured during the 69, 70 and 71 days of investigation. Result: Mice that were supplemented with vitamin E. development parasitemia lower than the control group (p<0.01). However, the effectivity of artemisinin decrease in level with the increase dose of Vitamin E. Conclusion : Vitamin E supplementation lowering the righ of parasitemia but decrease the effectivity of artemisinin</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">QU 145-220 Nutrition.
