This research was done at 11 public health centers in the whole area of Depok at August 1997. Cross sectional design was used in this study with 215 patients as the sample, which were taken by simple random sampling method. Among 215 patients there was 33% of respondents that didn't tahe the medicine regularly. In analysis there are two variables which have relationship with the regularly of taking medicine, i.e. health promotion [OR=4,19, 95% CI (2,28; 7,70) and p value=0,000], and the availability of transportation [OR=3,12, 95% CI(1,19; 8,14) and p value=0,015]. The conclusion of this research is that the factors of health promotion and availability of transportation have significant associations (p,0,05) with the treatment compliance among the lung tuberculosis patients. We suggest that health promotion conducted by the health officials is the most important tool for supporting the succes of the treatment.
