The use of instruments for dirrect meassurment in a large population and national-wide survey is time consuming and expensive. Hence the indirect method using questionnaire is more practical and feasible. Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) adopted by WHO can give a population indicator for sedentary lifestyle. The measurement covers a numbers of different intensities of activity, which are devided into 3 parts : occupational physical activity, non occupational physical activity and transportation physical activity.
