%X Previous study on the development of drug financing pattern in communicable diseases shows. Continuous rise in drug cost per capita before, during and after monitoring crisis. A field trial on drug management and financing at 10 PHC in Pekalongan district has been caried out in the year of 2001. The objective of the trial is to broaden the knowledge of  pharmaceutical management staff  of Dinkes, GFK, and PHC as well to development their ability self assessment. Subjects of study are 2 persons from Dinkes, 3 persons from GFK and 10 persons from 10 PHC’s. The material covered 7 group of indicators which summed up to 29 indicators and the effectiveness of the intervention was scored 1 to 10.  Result of the trials shows increase in th average of staffs knowledge from 7,2 to 7,9 after intervention and then to 8,5 at test II and to 8,8 at test III as well as a significant increase in the knowledge diffrence after test II and  test III its suggestic to socialize the use of guideline on drug management and financing evaluation at other districts.
