Kelebihan dari alat suntik Uniject TM yaitu dapat meningkatkan keamanan dan cakupan imunissasi pada bayi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui imunogenisitas dan keamanan vaksin Hepatitis B DNA rekombinan dalam Uniject TM pada bayi umur 0-7 bulan dan 2 bulan, serta menentukan prevalensi Hepatitis B pada 2 kelompok bayi tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan di 3 kecamatan di Kabupaten Bogor. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 220 orang bayi dibagi dalam 2 kelompok. Jadwal imunisasi adalah 0,2,3 bulan dan 2,3,4 bulan. Imunogenisitas pada kelompok bayi 0 dan 2 bulan masing -masing sebesar 95,79% dan 99,07%. Reaksi sistemik dan lokal pada kelompok bayi 2 bulan lebih tinggi dari kelompok bayi 0 bulan, yaitu 3,75 % dan 2,18%, sedangkan reaksi lokal sebesar 0,7% dan 1,05%.
