description: A small-scale field trials of Insect Growth Regulator Pyriproxyfen S-31183 (Adeal) was  conducted at Anophelinae breeding sites in mountain streams in Kokap District, Kulonprogo Regency,  October 1993. Pyriproxyfen applied at a dosage of 0,01 ppm and 0,05 ppm.       The main purpose of this trial is to evaluate the efficacy of pyriproxyfen against Anophelinae larvae (An. maculatus, An. f1avirostris and An. balabacensis) in Central Java.       The result of entomological evaluation showed that the application of pyriproxyfen at a dosage of 0,01 ppm and 0,05 ppm were still effective (larval mortality> 70 %) against Anopheline larvae and pupae until 5 weeks. Obsevations 49 days (7 weeks) after application did not reveal any Anopheline larvae, because the streams were flooded and the larvae were flooded out.
