The knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) of the community is one of the important factors for vector borne diseases control including malaria control. In order to provide basic data for malaria control measures, a study on the KAP of the people regarding malaria and its control were carried out in rural area of sub-district Labuhan Haji, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara in year of 1999. The valid questionnaire respondents were 99, with a 51% of male respondents and 52.% of female respondents were not graduated from primary school. More than 80% respondents have ever heard about malaria, though only 46,6% of them know the characteristic of malaria clinical symptom, such as high fever, chill and sweating. The 77,8 % of respondent have had experienced with malaria, so they know that malaria is dangerous. The KAP of community in East Lombok to malaria do not support the malaria control program, this due to the low education as well as low social economic status. publisher: Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Ekologi Kesehatan date: 2003 type: Article type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: http://www.badankebijakan.kemkes.go.id/repositori/id/eprint/1185/1/2388-821-1-PB.pdf identifier: Sukowati, Supratman and Santoso, Siti Sapardiyah and Lestari, Enny Wahyu (2003) Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Perilaku (PSP) Masyarakat Tentang Malaria di Daerah Lombok Timur, Nusa Tenggara Barat : Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) of the Community to Malaria in East Lombok, West NusaTenggara.
