Mutagenic test is required to find out the existence of mutagenic compound in this plant. The research had been done , using 50% ethanol extract of Tinospora tuberculata, with Ames method based on reverse mutagen system. Five strain of mutated bacteria ie: Salmonella typhy TA 98, TA 100 1535, TA 1537 and E. coli WP2 uvr A with and without S-9 metabolic activator were tested. The characterized of simplisia and extract Tinospora tuberculata were previously determined including TLC, Densitomeri and GC.
