P., Blondine subject: QW 1-300 Microbiology description: An investigation was conducted to detect the efficacy of liquid formulation of Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 local strain and vectobac 12 AS (Bt H-14) against Anopheles maculatus and its residual toxicity in the Vector Control Research and Reservoir Unit, Salatiga. The efficacy test was conducted according to WHO (1989) procedure and residual toxicity test according to the method proposed by Salamun et al (1994) carried out in plastic containers. The result were as followed (1). The efficacies of B.thuringiensis H-14 local strain against An.maculatus larvae obtained were 50% and 90% at a dose of 10,22 ppm (LC50) and 27,11 ppm (LC90) after exposure for 24 hours respectively and also at a dose of 7,74 ppm (LC50) and 17,06 ppm (LC90) after exposure for 48 hours respectively (2). Vectobac 12 AS (Bt H-14) required a dose of 0,12 ppm (LC50) and 0,43 ppm (LC90) for controlling An.maculatus larvae after exposure for 24 hours at a dose of 0,09 ppm (LC50) and 0,31 ppm (LC90) after exposure for 48 hours respectively (3). Residual toxicity of B.thuringiensis H-14 local strain and vectobac 12 AS (Bt-H14) against the third instar larvae of An.maculatus was recorded indicating that more than 50% of larval mortality at a dose of 27,11 ppm and 0,43 ppm respectively could be observed in plastic containers on day 13. publisher: Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Ekologi Kesehatan date: 2002 type: Monograph type: NonPeerReviewed identifier: Ch.
