Repositori BKPKUji Khasiat Seduhan Rimpang Bengle (Zingiber purpureum Roxb.) sebagai Laksansia pada Tikus PutihBudiNuratmiauthorDianSiundariauthorLucieWidowatiauthorTanaman bengle (Zingiber purpureum Roxb.) termasuk suku Zingiberaceae. Salah satu penggunaan empiris rimpang bengle adalah untuk obat sembelit. Untuk mengetahui khasiat rimpang bengle sebagai obat sembelit, telah dilakukan percobaan uji khasiat seduhan rimpang sebagai laksansia. Lima kelompok tikus, masing-masing kelompok diberi perlakuan : kelompok I diberi seduhan dosis 40 mg/100 g bb., kelompok II seduhan dosis 120 mg/100 g bb., kelompok III seduhan dosis 400 mg/100 g bb., kelompok IV sebagai pembanding diberi olium ricini dosis 1 ml/100 g bb., dan kelompok V sebagai kontrol 1 ml/100 g bb. Semua bahan perlakuan diberikan secara oral. Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsistensi defekasi, frekuensi dan berat feses. Dari hasil pengamatan ternyata, seduhan rimpang bengle dapat digunakan sebagai obat sembelit atau laksansia. Dari dosis yang dicoba terlihat adanya hubungan antara dosis dan efek.
