Penggunaan spiramisin dapat meninggalkan residu yang dapat merugikan kesehatan konsumen apabila waktu henti obat tidak dipatuhi. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan residu dalam daging ayam yang berasal dari dua tempat berbeda yaitu pasar swalayan dan pasar tradisional yang berada di wilayah Jakarta, Bogor, Cibinong dan Sukabumi. Umur ayam 40 hari. Penetapan kadar residu spiramisin menggunakan metode Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi Hasil analisa menunjukkan adanya residu spiramisin pada contoh daging ayam tetapi tidak ada yang melebihi batas maksimum SNI No:01-6366-2000 yaitu 0,05 ppmQV 350-370 Anti-Bacterial Agents.
