Rapid Assessment Inang Reservoir Leptospirosis Di Daerah Pasca Gempa Kecamatan Jogonalan, Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa TengahFaridaDwi HandayaniauthorRistiyantoRistiyantoauthorA spot survey on inang reservoir of leptospirosis was conducted in June 2006, at the post earthquake area at Jogonalan District, Klaten Regency in Central Java. The leptospirosis outbreak occurred in this area on 2005. This survey was aimed to determine the prevalence of leptospirosis and discovered the variety of rats post earthquake. The rats were trapped with 100 live traps during 2 days continuously. The same methods were used in spot survey on 2005 and rapid assessment on 2006. Each trapped rats were identified and blood was collected for serologic analysis using Rapid diagnostic test. The results showed that 17 small mammals were found consisting of 2 species of rats ( Rattus tanezumi, 11 rats, and Bandicota indica a rat), and a species of insectivore Suncus murinus 5 rats, with the value of trap success was 8.5% The results of serological test was negative.WC 195-425 Infection.
