Night Blood Survey was conducted among 79 respondents two years old and above. The result showed that six of them were infected with microfilaria ( Microfilaria rate 7.6%). Although the knowledge and perception of the respondents were generally good toward filarial transmission, but their habit supported the transmission of the disease. They used mosquito coils during the night but no mosquito net was used. The houses environment also supported the mosquito to enter the house because their house were not mosquito proof. Furthermore, the respondents used to stay outside house during the night for different activities. The population density of Culex quinguefasciatus as filarial vector was high (5.25 mosquito/ human/ hour). Most of the mosquitoes were already resistant to insecticides such as Malathion (0.5%), Fenithrothion (1%), Bendiocarb (0.5%) and Permethrin (0.75%). Thorax dissection showed positive L3 of Wuchereria bancrofti in three mosquitoes collected from the microfilaremia case house. publisher: Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan date: 2009 type: Article type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: http://www.badankebijakan.kemkes.go.id/repositori/id/eprint/1305/1/2158-1291-1-PB%20%281%29.pdf identifier: Febrianto, Bagus and Maharani, Astri and Widiarti, Widiarti (2009) FAKTOR RISIKO FILARIASIS DI DESA SAMBOREJO, KECAMATAN TIRTO, KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN JAWA TENGAH.
