Hasil-hasil penelitian kardiovaskuler yang telah dilaksanakan lebih banyak bersifat klinis sedangkan penelitian epidemiologis masih sedikit. Secara umum tujuan penelitian adalah mencari pengaruh beberapa faktor risiko penyakit kardiovaskuler dan uji klinis. Metodologi yang digunakan bersifat deskriptif dan eksperimental untuk penelitian uji coba klinis.
