Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui reaksi imunogenisitas vaksin campak CAM-70 yang diperbaharui dan telah dipakai dalam program imunisasi campak di Indonesia. Ujicoba dilakukan di kabupaten Bandung dan Padang, sebanyak 130 anak sehat umur 8--11 bulan yang belum diimunisasi campak dan 100 anak umur 2 tahun pasca imunisasi campak telah diikutsertakan dalam penelitian ini. Imunisasi dilakukan oleh juru imunisasi di 4 Puskesmas. Pemantauan efek samping imunisasi dilakukan sampai hari ke 14 setelah imunisasi oleh petugas Puskesmas. Pemeriksaan serologi campak dilakukan 5 minggu setelah imunisasi. Dilakukan dengan uji netralisasi mikro assay pada sel Vero terhadap antigen campak (virus vaksin CAM-70). Selain itu dilakukan juga pemeriksaan potensi vaksin yang digunakan selama penelitian dengan menghitung TCID50 pada sel Vero. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan serokonversi sebesar 96,92%. Hasil penghitungan GMT titer antibodi campak menunjukkan bahwa 83,31 % anak mendapatkan titer >128 setelah imunisasi. Pemeriksaan potensi vaksin CAM-70 menunjukkan adanya titer vaksin antara 104.25 -104.751 dosis. Hasil pemantauan efek samping vaksin menunjukkan adanya 5,5% demam dengan suhu antara 37.5 C-38.4 C. 4.92 % anak mengalami batuk pilek dan 1,57 % anak menderita ruam kurang dari 3 hari.WC 500-590 Virus Diseases2000Center for Research and Development of Disease Control, NIHRDMonograph
