Persahabatan dan Penyakit Dalam RS Dr. Sutomo. Sebagai patokan diagnosa klinis dipakai kriteria WHO 1985 pada anak. Sebanyak 206 kasus masing-masing 123 kasus dari Jakarta dan 83 kasus dari Surabaya telah diteliti. Manifestasi klinik penderita DBD dewasa menunjukkan : - touniquet positif =70-100% - perdarahan spontan:petekie =60- 85% epistaksis = 4- 16% Perdarah gusi = 2- 14% Perdarah saluran cerna = 4- 12% Hematuria = 0- 1 % - syok = 1- 10% - nyeri kepala =65- 85% - muntah =18- 80% Dibandingkan dengan manifestasi klinik DBD anak tidak berbeda jauh; hanya pada DBD dewasa perdarahan umumnya lebih ringan dan syok jarang terjadi.WC 500-590 Virus Diseases1999Center for Research and Development of Disease Control, NIHRDMonograph
