Repositori BKPKPengembangan Koleksi Referensi dan Koloni Nyamuk di IndonesiaHasanBoesriauthorDalam upaya penambahan dan pembaharuan koleksi referensi nyamuk di Balai Penelitian Vektor dan Reservoir Penyakit Salatiga, telah dilakukan koleksi nyamuk (dewasa dan pradewasa) pada beberapa daerah endemis malaria di propinsi D.I. Yogyakarta, tahun 2000. Spesies nyamuk yang ditemukan dari hasil penangkapan dengan umpan badan manusia di Hargotirto dan Hargorejo adalah sebagai berikut : An. barbirostris, An. balabacensis, An. minimus, An. kochi, Cx. pipiens quinquefasciatus, Armigeres subalbatus, Cx. tritaeniorynchus dan cx. bitaeniorhynchus. Di bak mandi ditemukan jentik Cx. tritaeniorynchus, Ae. aegypti dan Ae. albopictus. Di Gobakan sungai ditemukan jentik An. barbirostris, An. maculatus, An. balabacensis dan Cx. pipiens quiquefasciatus. Di genangan air sumber ditemukan jentik Cx. pipiens quiquefasciatus. Di Kokap nyamuk yang dianggap sebagai vektor malaria adalah An. maculatus sedangkan jenis lainnya belum memenuhi persyaratan baik umur maupun kepadatannya selama penelitian berlangsung. Semua jenis nyamuk (dewasa dan pradewasa) yang baik kondisi morfologinya dari hasil penangkapan dan pemeliharaan di laboratorium, dibuat preparat awetan.
