Ekstraksi dan isolasi tumbuhan dikerjakan di Laboratorium Farmasi Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan di Jakarta. Analisis senyawa bahan aktif dengan Gas Kromatografi Spektrometri massa dilakukan di Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Botani, Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Biologi, LIPI Bogor.      Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari senyawa saponin, alkaloid, ateroid dan triterpen masing-masing berurutan mengandung bahan aktif sebesar 12%, 1%, 0,036% dan 0,029%.      Hasil analisis dengan Gas Kromatografi Spektrometri Massa terdeteksi 15 senyawa, 10 senyawa dapat diidentifikasi, 4 senyawa tidak cocok dengan data base dan satu senyawa kontaminan dari wadah plastik.       Senyawa yang teridentifikasi antara lain : Isocary ophyllen, Tridecanoic acid methyl ester, Hexadecanoic acid, Dihydro civetone, Octadecanoic acid, Lauradehyd, 1-Octadecanol, Acetic acid octadecyl ester, Stearaldehyd.
