Pengujian dilakukan di daerah pemukiman penduduk 2005. Uji efikasi dilakukan secara hayati (bioassay test standar WHO) menggunakan nyamuk Ae. aegypti kenyang larutan gula (umur 3 ? 4 hari). Sebagai serangga non sasaran digunakan nyamuk Culex quinquefasciatus dan lalat rumah  Musca dosmestica. Jentik nyamuk Ae. aegypti dan Cx. quinquefasciatus, digunakan untuk uji residu.      Hasil uji hayati menunjukkan bahwa pengujian secara pengasapan dosis 150 dan 200 ml (dalam 10 liter solar). Knock down time (KT50) terhadap Ae. aegypti di dalam rumah, masing-masing 16.41 dan 11.34 menit, sedangkan di luar rumah 30.26 dan 20.16 menit. Hasil uji hayati secara pengabutan dosis 75 dan 100 ml (dalam larutan 10 liter solar/hektra), Knock down time (KT50) terhadap Ae. Aegypti di dalam rumah masing-masing 22.33 dan 10.37 menit, sedangkan di luar rumah 2439.91 dan 23.08 menit. Vectron 95EC, efektif membunuh nyamuk uji Ae. aegypti aplikasi secara pengasapan (dosis 150 dan 200 ml/10 liter solar/ha) baik di dalam maupun di luar rumah kematian 100%. Mortalitas nyamuk uji Ae. Aegypti aplikasi pengabutan (dosis 75 ml/10 liter solar/ha), di luar rumah 93.6%, sedangkan di dalam rumah dan dosis 150 ml/10 liter solar/ha, adalah 100%. Kematian nyamuk uji baik secara pengasapan maupun pengabutan, di dalam dan di luar rumah tidak berbeda secara bermakna (p &gt; 0.05). Efikasi insektisida Vectron 95EC terhadap nyamuk Cx. Quinquefasciatus dan lalat rumah (M. domestica), maupun efek residu aplikasi pengasapan dan pengabutan, dibicarakan dalam makalah ini.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">QX 500-675 Insects.
