Ternyata 8.91% dari mereka mengandung HBsAg dan 3.69% mengandung anti-HBs. Frekwensi HBsAg yang didapatkan merupakan frekwensi yang paling tinggi yang pernah dilaporkan di Indonesia dari penelitian-penelitian terhadap populasi sehat dengan sample yang cukup besar. Tingginya frekwensi HBsAg pada pelajar dan mahasiswa di Mataram ini dapat memberikan gambaran tentang tingginya frekwensi HBsAg pada populasi umum di daerah tersebut.
