Repositori BKPKETIOLOGI MIKROBIOLOGI DIARE AKUT DI RUMAH SAKITPudjarwotoauthorPenyakit diare masih merupakan masalah kesehatan utama di Indonesia karena masih tingginya angka kesakitan maupun angka kematian. Untuk melihat spektrum mikrobiologi penyebab penyakit diare akut di rumah sakit serta pola resistensinya terhadap antibiotik, maka telah dilakukan penelitian etiologi diare akut pada penderita diare yang berobat ke beberapa rumah sakit di Jakarta. Kemudian dilakukan uji resistensi pada bakteri patogen yang ditemukan terhadap beberapa jenis antibiotik terpilih maupun antibiotik alternatif secar in-vitro dengan metode Disk Diffussion (Kirby Bauer, 1966). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spektrum mikrobiologi pcnyebab diare akut meliputi Rotavirus, Vibrio cholera, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio non 01, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Campylobncter, Escherichia coli patogcn dan parasit. Spektrum mikrobiologi ini relatif masih sama dengan spektrum mikrobiologi penyebab diare pada tahun 80-an. Hasil uji resistensi terhadap antibiotik menunjukkan bahwa secara in-vitro, Tetraciclin masih sangat efektiv untuk V. cholera penyebah diare akut. Pada diare akut yang disebabkan oleh infeksi Salmonella non typhoid, Chloramphenicol dan Sulfamctoxazolc Trimetoprim masih cukup efektiv.
