Telah adanya rintisan Jaminan Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Masyarakat pada beberapa KUD, dengan pelayanan yang terbatas, dengan iuran yang ditetapkan oleh KUD khususnya oleh pengurus KUD. 2. Telah terjadi kerja sama antara KUD dengan Puskesmas dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Walaupun belum dilaksanakan bentuk kerjasama formal, tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya telah terjadi saling mengerti apa yang harus dikerjakan oleh masing-masing lembaga tersebut. 3. Pengelolaan dana, pengambilan dana dan pengawasan dana yang digunakan untuk pelayanan kesehatan semuanya dilaksanakan oleh pengurus-pengurus KUD. Uang dana untuk kesehatan anggota KUD, sebagian KUD tidak memungut langsung dari anggota KUD. Dana diambilkan dari SHU, dana kesejahteraan sosial dll. 4.
