Perkembangan keadaan dan kebutuhan informasi untuk penyusunan kebijaksanaan dan perencanaan memerlukan pemutakhiran data agar lebih skurat, relevan dan komprehensif. Untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi tersebut maka dilaksanakan survey pembiayaan kesehatan untuk obat dengan pengumpulan data secara cross sectional terhadap kegiatan Pedagang Besar Farmasi (PBF) dan Apotik dari tahun 1987-1991.
