Seperti diketahui sebagian besar infeksi nosokomial ditularkan secara kontak langsung, namun penularan secara tidak langsung melalui makanan, minuman, air, udara, instrumen atau benda lain cukup sering pula. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat higiene di rumah sakit dan distribbusi bakteri penyebab infeksi saluran cerna di rumah sakit.
