Prevalensi tifoid berdasar diagnosa petugas dan gejalah klinis banyak ditemukan pada kelompok umur 37-59 bulan (1,8 %), terendah pada bayi 0-1 bulan (0,6%), dan relatif lebih tinggi pada laki-laki (98,6%). Di wilayah perkotaan lebih tinggi (98,8%) dibanding di pedesaan (98,4 %). Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya penyakit tifoid adalah tempat BAB (Buang Air Besar) di tempat selain jamban, dan kualitas fisik air minum yang jelek (keruh, berwarna, berasa, berbsa, dan berbau). Demikian juga faktor lain yang berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya penyakit tifoid yaitu BAB (Buang Air Besar) bukan ditempat jamban disertai cara cuci tangan ibu yang salah yaitu tidak memakai sabun.WC 195-425 Infection.
