N2  - Selection and implementation of an essential package of health services for Indonesia, will substantially accelerate the improvement of the community health status; especially those with middle and low income.        Hopefully, the efforts of defining priority health interventions will make the more efficient and effective use of limited health resources.        Estimation of disability due to each disease in more detail is needed to refine the disability component of the Burden of Disease. Research in this area, as started by the 1995 National Household Health Survey, should be encouraged and supported.        Estimation of the provincial disease burden, ideally should include collection of causes of death data and disability data in the province; since the health situation differ from province to province.
