Terhadap Organ Reproduksi Tikus Yang DiovarektomiSa'roniSa'roniauthorTelah dilakukan penelitian pengaruh ekstrak herba Physalis minima L dan akar Costus speciosus Smith dalam etanol 75% secara percolasi terhadap organ reproduksi tikus yang diovarektomi menurut Farnsworth et al. Untuk menentukan dosis penelitian serta keamanan pemakaian dilakukan penelitian tobisitas akut terhadap kedua ekstrak tanaman menurut cara Weil,C.S. Menurut beberapa penelitian herba Physalis minima L ( cecendet ) dan akar Costus speciosus Smith ( pacing ) mengandung steroid yang dikatakan mempunyai efek estrogenik sehingga dapat mencegah atau mengembalikan uterus yang mengalami atrofi akibat ovarekiomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak herba Physalis minima L dan akar Costus speciosus Smith termasuk bahan yang tidak toksik dan mempunyai pengaruh terhadap susunan syaraf pusat maupun susunan syaraf otomun. Analisa ANOVA pengaruh bahan terhadap uterus tikus yang diovarektomi menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang nyata diantara perlakuan. Ekstrak etanol 75% herba Physalis minima L. dosis 0,91 mg dan 9,1 mg/100 g bobot badan dapat mencegah atrofi uterus pada tikus yang diovarek1omi. Pada dosis 91 mg/100 g bobot badan efekya berkurang ( P= 0,01). Ekstrak akar Costus speciosus Smith do sis 116,7 mg /100 g bobot badan memmjukan adanya indikasi pencegahan /pengembalian atrofi uterus pada tikus yang diovarektomi.
