Subchronic toxicity tests on rat were done on Jamu Galian Singset AM and Galian Putri AM, while antipyratic tests were done on jamu Pegel Linu AM and jamu Tujuh Angin AM. Not all simplicia componets of the jamu could be identified by microscopical examination. The results of the toxicity test on the jamu were that all of the "Practically Non Toxic" and "Accepted as safe". No abnormalities were found on the vital organs due to the jamu prolongeate administration. Antipyretic effect of jamu Tujuh Angin AM was found at dosages of 60 mg powder per 100 g body weight, 120 mg powder per 100 g body weight and 240 mg powder per 100 g body weight, which are equivalent to 30 mg Sodium Salicylate per 100 g weight.
