        <dc:description>From our previous investigations it has become known that &#13;
there is a toxic constituent in the oil part of the sagabean.&#13;
(Adenanthera pavonina L). This toxic constituent(s) until now&#13;
not yet chemically identified, cannot be affected (destroyed) &#13;
by the simple process of ordinary household boiling in water.&#13;
It may therefore be useful to investigate the effect of &#13;
three different ways of processing by heat viz. roasting, frying&#13;
and pressure-cooking as applied to the sagabean and to compare&#13;
the results of ratfeeding experiments obtained with that of&#13;
boiled sagameal detoxified by defatting with n-hexane.</dc:description>
