The objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of drinking water treatment process of the AMIU in normalizing of acidity level, especially for pH parameter. Water pH level is necessary to assess in line with the determination of its use, for household use as drinking water or for the AMIU for raw material. According to laboratory analysis result, it can be stated that all of water samples were compiled with the standards of chemical parameters, except acidity level (pH). The result of pH measurement at 38 natural water samples was ranging 5.8-8.5. And those of drinking water samples was ranging 5.8- 8.5. It means that drinking water treatment process of the AMIU has no effect at all in pH level changing. Whereas the pH level suggested by the national standard both for drinking water and natural water ranging 6.5-8.5. As many as 13.2% out of natural water samples was not complied with clean water standard based on Permenkes No. 416/1990, and as many as 7.9 % out of ready to sale - drinking water samples was not complied with the existing standard based on Permenkes No. 907/2002.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">WA Public Health</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2005</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>Sekretariat Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mods:mods>
