The survey reported that 38% of mothers stop giving mother's breast milk because of the lack of the mother's breast milk itself. Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr is traditionally used by mothers to increase and accelerate mother's breast milk. There are many product from extract of the Sauropus androgynus (L.) Mer. produced by pharmaceutical manufacture is suspected has a fuction as lactagogum, but hasn't been proved the effectiveness through the human.&#13;
The purpose of this research is to determine the extraxt of the Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr effectiveness compared with placebo in increasing the expulsion of the mother's breast milk. The subyek is mothers who given birth and giving mother's breast milk in the maternity hospital in&#13;
Steman regency, Yogyakarta, that is fulfilled the inclusion criteria, The Randomized Control Trial (RCT) research design. The first group as the subject get Extract of the Sauropus androgynus (L.)  Merr while the second group as the get placebo. Follow up is done 15 days.&#13;
The result of the research shows that Extract of the Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr leaf can increase the mother's breast milk production up to 50, 7% compared with placebo. The calculation statistically shows the significant difference between the subject group extract of the Sauropus&#13;
androgynus (L.) Merr leaf compared with the group placebo at the confidence level of 5%. Extract of the Sauropus androgynus (L.)
