Keadaan hiperg/ikemia adalah akibat induksi aloksan tetrahidrat 125 mg/kg bb. Pada keadaan hiperg/ikemia terjadi penurunan kadar antioksidan g/utation (GSH) hampir 50 %. Kadar GSH plasma diukur dengan Cara Ellman. Pemberian bahan uji ekstrak klabet dosis 140; 240 dan 560 mg/200g bb. menyebabkan kenaikan kadar GSH plasma setelah 3 hari pemberian bahan uji sebesar 35,77; 66,83; 31,26 % dari keadaan awal hiperglikemi dan kenaikan kadar GSH plasma setelah 7 hari pemberian bahan uji, sebesar 63,21; 90,67; 44,52 % dari keadaan awa/ hiperglikemi.
