Pada tahun ini hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 18 orang transmigran di Jangga Baru dengan gejala klinis filariasis, akan tetapi belum ada yang menunjukkan adanya mikrofilaria di dalam darahnya. Tidak terlihat ada perbedaan pada reaksi seluler baik yang spesifik maupun non spesifik pada transmigran Jangga Baru pada masa tinggal 12 bulan dan 32 bulan. Sedangkan reaksi humoral untuk IgM pada masa tinggal 32 bulan lebih rendah dari pada masa tinggal 21 bulan.
