The objectives of this study are to learn about the effects of pinang seed infusion to pregnant mouse by observing the number of fetus, the amount of resorption, the number of abortion and physical defects on the fetus born. The infusion was given orally on the 3rd and 5th day of pregnancy to observe the prenatal death. The results show that dosage of 211, 422 and 844 mg/kg of body weight that was administered orally to pregnant mouse of implantation phase influence the degree of abortion statistically significant (50%) and there is no teratogenic effect.QY 50-110 Laboratory Animals.
