Public Health Issues Analysis for February 18-20, 2026

584

This report highlights three priority issues in health crisis management for the period February 18-20, 2026. The main focus includes handling the administrative polemic of Dr. Piprim Basarah Yanuarso through the preparation of an official chronology to dampen the narrative of professional solidarity. Furthermore, there is special attention to the expansion of the Free Nutritious Meal Program with a budget of IDR 335 trillion, which requires strict mitigation against the risk of poisoning, as well as the target of 100% recovery of health facilities in Sumatra after the disaster, supported by funds of IDR 529,3 billion.

Meanwhile, service transformation focused on optimizing the Free Health Check (CKG) by shifting the narrative toward early detection of physical activity. The government also guaranteed continuity of services for PBI JKN participants during a three-month transition period for inactive patients. Finally, a massive educational effort was launched to counter misinformation about the global conspiracy surrounding boys' HPV vaccination through "Myth vs. Fact" format content and educational FAQs to increase public understanding.
