Media coverage has highlighted the Ministry of Health's (Kemenkes) success in controlling infectious diseases, particularly through a 93% reduction in measles cases since early 2026. This success was supported by a strengthened surveillance system and the issuance of a Circular on vigilance to protect healthcare workers through early screening, provision of PPE, and nutritional supplements. Furthermore, the government demonstrated its commitment to preventive efforts through a program to strengthen child health screening (CKG) and a Free Nutritious Meal program in the 3T (Underdeveloped and Remote Areas) to reduce stunting rates.

On the other hand, a critical issue related to the investigation into the deaths of three intern doctors has sparked negative sentiment on social media. Although the Ministry of Health denied work fatigue was the cause, this issue has escalated into systemic criticism of the governance of the Indonesian Doctor Internship Program (PIDI). To maintain the institution's reputation, the Ministry of Health is recommended to implement transparent crisis management to address public concerns about healthcare workers' workloads and promptly address complaints about services at specific hospitals to prevent them from going viral.

Strategically, Indonesia continues to strengthen its global position through bilateral cooperation with China, encompassing traditional medicine, tuberculosis prevention, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. This collaboration aims to make Indonesia adaptable to modern healthcare technology. Overall, the Ministry of Health is advised to consistently educate the public and strengthen service responsiveness to maintain the positive sentiment that has been established.
