This was conveyed at the Advocacy and Socialization Meeting for Promotive Preventive Health Financing Policy and National Health Insurance (JKN) in Curug Wetan Village, Curug, Tangerang (3/2/2024).

Riris also said that there are several reasons why health services are not covered by JKN, including not following procedures, already covered by other programs, carried out abroad, carried out for aesthetic purposes, as well as health problems or diseases due to drug and/or alcohol dependency.

In line with Riris, Muhammad Rizal, Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives also said that diseases caused by alcohol, liquor or illegal drugs will not be covered by JKN. Therefore, Rizal's message is for residents to be careful and avoid using these items.

On the same occasion, Septian, representing the Ministry of Social Affairs, responded to questions from Tangerang residents about Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) in the JKN program. Septian said that PBI JKN is PBI funded by the government budget. The PBI JKN application procedure is first registered by the Ministry of Social Affairs to the Ministry of Health. Then the Ministry of Health will submit it to BPJS Kesehatan. The requirements needed in making JKN are KTP and family card. The addition of a Certificate of Inability to Pay (SKTM) document is required if the area of residence has reached UHC.
