The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) is a survey that integrates the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) and the Indonesian Toddler Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI). The 2023 SKI was conducted to assess the achievement of health development results carried out in the last five years in Indonesia, and also to measure trends in toddler nutritional status each year (2019-2024). The data produced can represent health status at the National level down to the Regency/City level.
The availability of data and information related to the achievement of health development results is important for the Ministry of Health, Provincial Governments and Districts/Cities as material for the preparation of more targeted and targeted evidence-based policies, programs and development activities including the development of the National Medium-Term Health Development Plan (RPJMN 2024-2029) by the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas. In an effort to provide valid and accurate data, the Health Development Policy Agency (BKPK) collaborates with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in preparing the method and sample framework for the 2023 SKI, as well as together with Cross-Programs in the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank in developing instruments, guidelines and survey reporting.
