
Jakarta – Seventy doctoral and postgraduate students from Strada Indonesia University (USI) in Kediri, East Java, visited the Health Development Policy Agency (BKPK) of the Ministry of Health on Monday (August 70th). The visit aimed to learn how data is presented to inform strategic health policies.
Welcomed by the Head of the Public Relations, Data, and Information Working Team, Grace Lovita Tewu, in the Ars Longa Room, students from the Faculty of Public Health and the Faculty of Nursing gathered in the Arslonga Room to listen to a public lecture delivered directly by the Head of the BKPK. In her remarks, Vita expressed her appreciation for the visit of USI students to enrich their knowledge of health policy. She stated that the BKPK is open to students and lecturers needing national-scale health survey data for their undergraduate, graduate, or dissertation writing projects.
Head of BKPK Prof. Asnawi Abdullah in his presentation entitled Introduction to Health Policy through Health Policy Reform The Health Sector Master Plan states that the Ministry of Health has implemented many new policies or reforms. These reforms are translated into the Health Sector Master Plan (RIBK). The RIBK was created to address the challenges of developing a resilient health system to achieve Indonesia Emas 2045.
Prof. Asnawi stated that the Ministry of Health's vision is in line with the President's vision, namely to create a healthy and productive Indonesian society to realize Golden Indonesia 2045. The role of health in realizing Golden Indonesia is also very vital.

Three of the eight best fast results programs (Quick Win) the government is in the health sector, namely organizing Free Health Checks, reducing TB cases by 50% in five years, and building complete and quality hospitals in the Regency.
Free Health Check-up or more popularly known as Free Health Check (CKG) is a program that aims to increase public awareness of the importance of health by identifying risk factors, detecting pre-disease conditions and detecting diseases early.
On this occasion, Prof. Asnawi advised USI students to also contribute to the success of the 3 programs. Quick Win The health sector, particularly the CKG program, is crucial. Asnawi stated that USI students need encouragement to increase East Javanese community participation in the CKG program.
"The CKG program is the largest ever implemented by the Ministry of Health, targeting 280 million Indonesians. We expect USI to play a role in the CKG program in East Java Province. Please contribute your best to ensure the program's successful implementation and ensure its results can inform East Java government policy," said Prof. Asnawi.
Regarding the data held by the BKPK, Asnawi also urged USI students to utilize it for research. Asnawi stated that the BKPK supports students conducting their thesis or dissertation research in obtaining health data, such as the results of the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) and the Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI).
Echoing Asnawi, Ratna Wardani, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business and Postgraduate Lecturer, who led the visit, also hoped students would learn a lot from their visit to the BKPK. Ratna stated that many USI students are conducting research related to nutrition. After gaining knowledge about health policy, Ratna hopes students will gain ideas on what can be developed for education and in their respective locations.
