Splints is a device used to stabilize unstable teeth due to injury or disease. Splint can be temporary of permanent, extracoronal or intracoronal, fixed or removable. Permanent splint includes fixed bridge, removable partial prosthesis or resin composite filling. Some data showed that permanent splint combined with maintenance therapy can enhance the recovery of periodontal tissue.
